Texan group of women move mountains of beads

Peggy Busby, a family therapist, and her small prayer group in Dallas, Texas have become our best sales women. Peggy's work has been primarily with children in need and so, on hearing about the work of Mothers for All in Botswana decided this would be a good way to turn their prayer into action.

Peggy writes: "The enthusiasm for this wonderful southern Africa effort has spread in Dallas.  I host coffee and sweets parties in my home or the homes of friends and go the local bazaars to sell.  To see the jewelry is to buy it and help the mothers and children. If you only knew the pleasure it gives us to know we are working with the mothers!  I had no idea I was a sales person, until now.  It began as a small idea, a seed.  I pray that it will expand to much more than we had initially hoped for."

Peggy and her group have sold more than 50 000 Pulas worth of beaded jewellery since they made their first order.  The Pula is the unit of currency in Botswana - one UK pound is equal to around P10 - but it also means rain, the most valuable currency of all in this dry country. Thank you Peggy and your group for raining kindness and support on our mothers and children.............and for moving mountains of recycled paper beads all over Texas.
